Tydak has helped companies in a number of industries to solve a
wide variety of problems. A few examples of Tydak's successes are
given below, along with brief explanations of how Tydak helped these
companies to overcome challenges while reducing costs and increasing
productivity.
Food & Beverages
Tydak assisted a large food manufacturer in gaining on-demand statistics
and tracking numbers against trade promotion. We implemented Business
Intelligence reporting using Cognos ReportNet for report design
and development, and Framework Manager for data modeling. Through
well-defined metrics and dashboard reporting, the sales and marketing
executives are now able to track the success of marketing programs
by product, by type, by customer, by region and several categories
relevant to Trade Promotion Management.
As a result the TPM department is able to redirect $1mm of marketing
spend to more cost effective channels.
Mortgage Banking
A large mortgage-banking firm partnered with Tydak to implement
a complete IT Service Management (ITSM) program including process,
methods and tools. The goal of the ITSM initiative was to create
a single source of contact for all IT queries, produce metrics to
measure IT's value to the organization on an ongoing basis, reduce
the number of calls to the Call Center through improved problem
resolution, and maintain costs and resources needed for Service
Support and Delivery.
Biotech
A major biotechnology firm contracted with Tydak to centralize
Client Services for their organization. Their objective was to reduce
costs within IT, deliver better service to their internal customers,
and develop an accountability structure to support IT activities.
Tydak implemented ITIL standards and developed process improvements
throughout service support and delivery. In the second phase of
the project, application development was moved onto the same system
to provide a single source of access to all IT resources including
personnel, software, hardware and budget.
Tydak's efforts resulted in an annual savings of $5mm, in process
improvement alone.
Insurance
A large insurance company needed to be able to respond to large
disasters with the same efficiency as smaller, local claims. The
company partnered with Tydak, and we worked with both business managers
and IT to identify, design, develop and implement a strategic solution
to their claims process. Using on-demand, real-time reporting, the
company can now deploy resources disaster areas quickly, the time
needed to process claims has been reduced, and management is able
to make decisions based on real-time data accessible by all executive
management. Customer service was improved and processing
costs were reduced.
Manufacturing & Distribution
Tydak implemented strategic sourcing systems and procedures for
a Southern California manufacturing and distribution firm. By automating
the management of the company's contingent workforce, Tydak reduced
the cost of contract help within the IT division by 15%.
Finance
A financial institution turned to Tydak when they needed someone
to guide them in their efforts to create a successful service organization.
Tydak developed and implemented policies, procedures, and ITIL processes,
resulting in measurable improvements in the company's customer service
goals.
Telecom
Tydak developed a strategic technology plan that better aligned
a telecommunication company's back-office systems with their end-customer
systems, which drastically minimized costs.
Construction
A construction and remodeling company contacted Tydak when they
were working with an offshore firm to develop e-Commerce capabilities
